Basse House
The gem of the Hoffman Haus! An old German homestead dating from 1850, this fabulous stone farmhouse has two lovely suites. The larger of the two has a beautiful four poster king size bed, comfortable chairs and a wood-burning stove. The attached bathroom sports a large Jacuzzi tub and original handcrafted stone fireplace. The cozzy second bedroom has a king size iron bed with an oversized romantic fireplace. Also included is an adjoining bath with antique claw foot tub. The Basse House also has a full kitchen with authentic fireplace adorned with an eclectic collection of still life paintings. The atrium, with oversized leather chairs, is located in what used to be the “dog trot” of the house. This accommodation also boasts a grand sitting porch overlooking the Texas gardens.
