| The Anchorage House is situated in the beautiful and historic North Carolina’s Crystal Coast town of Beaufort. Since 1525, seafarers have been drawn to the area beaches, historical sites, and wild horses of Carrot Island. For nearly 150 years, our lovely cottage has contributed to the charms of Beaufort. |

• To confirm your reservation, a one night deposit by credit card is required. • All room rates are double occupancy and do not include the state’s 12% lodging tax • Please do not open windows. • Check in time is from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. • Checkout time is 11:00. • Smoking is not permitted in the house. • We provide off-street parking for one car per room. • Guests are responsible for any damages that occur in there room
Cancellation Policy Cancellations received 7 days or more prior to your stay entitle you to a refund, less a 10% processing fee. If less than 7 days is given, and only in the event we are able to rebook the room, we will issue a gift certificate that is equal to 80% of your deposit. If we are unable to rebook the room, the guest is responsible to pay for the entire period for which the reservation was made.

Boardwalk, kayaking, boat rides, ghost walks, burial grounds are just some activities to undertake while you visit us.
Radio Island—US 70 Causeway (Southeast Radio Island)- Wading; swimming; picnic tables; grills; restrooms and parking area (dangerous current in deeper water; stay close to shore when swimming); no lifeguard on duty.
Atlantic Beach Water Access—US 70 Causeways to US 58. Beaches all along the causeway; lifeguard on duty from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m.
Fort Macon State Park. Discover the fort’s history as though time it has protected Beaufort Harbor and the beautiful beach that has wonderful sunsets, surf fishing, swimming dolphins, and public restrooms.
Croatan National Forest. Hike and picnic through our woods and see the wildlife of our beaches and forest blend together in harmony.
Maritime Museum in Beaufort has shells, history on Blackbeard and Queens Ann Revenge and equipment that have been used on boats since the beginning.
Cape Lookout Light House. Take a ferry or Charter to Cape Lookout Lighthouse and watch the dolphins swim with the boat and the horses of Shackelford and Carrot Island.
State Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores. The newly remodeled Aquarium is three times larger and features new exhibits of jellyfish, river otters and a 306,000-gallon ocean tank. Visitors will get a glimpse of what Blackbeard’s flagship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, and the sunken German sub U-352 look like on the ocean floor. The "Living Shipwreck," which will display the wreckage of the sub, will feature a viewing window more than 60 feet long! The expanded Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores will be three times larger than before, and feature exhibits and animals from across North Carolina. Mountain waterfalls, Piedmont Rivers, coastal swamps, and offshore shipwrecks will be some of the new habitats.
