"Inn at the Park was originally built in 1909 as a private residence for Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus M. Beachy. The home was located at the easternmost turn-around point for the Wichita streetcar line and overlooked the original Wichita Country Club golf course. Mr. Beachy was Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Steffen Dairy and Mrs. Beachy was well know for her collections of fine furniture, glassware, fine art and dolls from around the world. It remained the family residence until 1955.
In 1988, the three-story brick mansion and carriage house were totally renovated and operates today as Inn at the Park, one of the finest small hotels in the state of Kansas. The Inn is a perfect site for weekday business travelers and vacationers desiring distinctive and comfortable overnight accommodations. Inn at the Park is equally perfect as a romantic weekend hideaway and for visiting guests or family members.
Today the Beachy's three-story brick mansion enjoys a new life as Inn at the Park. The Inn is the perfect site... mid-week for business travelers or small business meetings... family time... weekends for couples looking for that special romantic hideaway.
All guests are provided a complimentary breakfast that includes fresh baked breads and muffins, cereals, special hot entrees, fresh fruits, juices and other treats.
