Built in 1910, the Black Dog Inn was one of the earliest homes in the burgeoning village of Estes Park. Snuggled in among towering pine and aspen trees on a rolling acre, the Inn offers an expansive view of Lumpy Ridge, Mummy Range, Mt. Olympus and the Estes Valley. The Inn is only a short five-minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, and surrounding footpaths allowing you to walk to the scenic River Walk and nearby Estes Park attractions.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Rates based on length of stay and suite selection. One night stays are welcome, except as noted on special discount offers.

ALL Black Dog Inn common areas, Suites, cabins and cottages are non-smoking.

We do not allow pets. Service dogs are welcome in Mount Olympus Cottage, based on availability..

Check in at or after 4 P.M.

Check out by 11 A.M. Exceptions require owner approval.

Early or late arrival by special prior arrangement.

$25 for each extra guest in all suites.

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY:

Black Dog Inn is a small property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 30 (thirty) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation and authorize a 10% processing fee.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 30 (thirty) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made.

Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests.

Check-in: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.

Check-out: 11:00 AM.

No Smoking ~ No Pets ~ No Children under twelve

Reservations require a 50% deposit at the time of reservation. PERSONAL CHECKS may be used for the deposit if received within 10 days of making the reservation.

Deposits will be returned for cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the arrival date, less $50 as a cancellation fee. You cannot automatically expect to receive a refund if you cancel with 30 or less days remaining until your stay.

Rooms are tastefully appointed with family antiques, feather down comforters and bathrobes. Each suite seeks to unite the charm of yesteryear with the comforts of today.

Three, modern two-room suites, Two new luxury cabin suites, each with a full kitchen, and a large finished loft, one unique, totally separate Cottage Suite.

Décor of each Suite is different and specific for that suite. Each has its own theme and personality.

Five units have private, in-room jetted Jacuzzi tub for two, one a deep soaking tub for a luxurious bubble bath.

All have private entrances, fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, cable color TV, with VCR, and CD/TAPE player.

Each features an antique queen sized bed, and separate living area.

The Inn features three individual suites and a cottage, named after nearby mountain peaks.

Walking distance to Downtown, three gourmet restaurants, the Stanley Fairgrounds, Conference Center, & Community swimming pool.

The Big Thompson River, Lake Estes, and downtown provide diversity for your outing.

The YMCA and the Rockies, and entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park are only ten-minute drives.

The property views panoramic mountain ranges, including the unparalleled Colorado sunrises and sunsets.

Wildlife, including elk, deer, rabbits, hawks, owls, eagles, and hummingbirds, many of whom visit our property, and may try to join you for breakfast!

Mountain bikes, fishing equipment and boat rentals are available at the Lake Estes Marina.

Common rooms at the Inn include a sunny library/reception room, cozy breakfast room, and living room where you can relax, read, or watch a movie in front of a crackling fire.
