Bear Mountain Inn is a lakefront Bed and Breakfast located on 52 acres in Waterford Maine. Because the property is surrounded by Bear Mountain, Bear River and Bear Pond, we are a haven to nature and wildlife. Our Country Inn features 11 rooms including two 2-bedroom suites for families and four large luxurious Suites for a special occasion or romantic getaway. Our B&B would not be complete without the Sugar Bear Cottage complete with fireplace, log bed, kitchenette and antique bath tub. A log cabin in the woods with a view of Bear River and Bear Pond is perfect for those who want to rough it. Each bedroom in the Inn has its own special touch. The Inn features two fieldstone fireplaces. An outdoor fieldstone BBQ Pit with large deck overlooks the Lake. With a wrap around porch and many rockers, the Inn invites you to stay and unwind for many days.
Your emotions will be stirred by the beauty that gently surrounds our Country B & B. Our guests wake to the sounds of nature and loon calls.
Leave your everyday stress behind and enjoy finding your sense of inner peace. Relax on our Sandy Beach or enjoy canoeing, kayaking, or a paddleboat trip on Bear Pond You’ll enjoy taking a rigorous hike up Bear Mountain, or a nice relaxed stroll along the wooded trail of Bear River. or a nap in our hammock as you leave your everyday stress behind. Nearby are several quaint towns such as Bridgton, Bethel, Lovell, Fryeburg and Harrison. Bear Inn is located just one hour from Portland Maine. The activities in the area are endless. Surrounded by 52 acre of rolling fields and forest, the Country style Bed and Breakfast provides a perfect environment for birds and other wildlife that adds to our guest’s enjoyment of the property. Bear Mountain Inn provides a sandy beach and canoes, kayaks and a paddleboat for our guest’s enjoyment.

BEAR MOUNTAIN INN POLICY
Rates include full Country-Style Breakfast, Use of Beach, Gas Grill, Decks, Canoes, Kayak and Hiking Trail on Property.
Rates subject to 7% room tax
Two-Night reservation required on all weekends.
Early departures will be charged for the full length of their reservation
Check-In 3:00-9:00 PM
Check-Out 10:00 AM
Entire Inn available for groups. We can accommodate up to 13 single people or 26 people
in shared rooms.
One Night Deposit is required by check or credit card when making a reservation.
Bear Mountain Inn is a Smoke-Free environment. Smoking is allowed on the front porch or any of our decks.
Rooms Rates based on double occupancy in all rooms except
family Cub Den I and II. Rates vary according to season.
Cancellation Policy: Room must be cancelled 30 days prior to stay to receive a refund less $25 fee. Cancellations with less than that time will receive a refund less $20only if vacancy is filled. No refund will be made with less than 72-hour notice of cancellation.
Bear Mountain Inn provides a convenience center with Coffee, Tea, Soda, Water, and Snacks. There is also a microwave and refrigerator for all our guests use.
