Snow Activities: The Coeur d’Alene area ranks in the country’s top 10 for its skiing. Enjoy downhill and cross country skiing, tubing, sledding. We’ll give you the lowdown on our favorites and why. Home schoolers…we have connections to get you super prices. Discount tickets seasonally available for selected resorts. Schweitzer Mountain ski resort is closest to us to the north. Lookout and Silver Mountain are south. Mt. Spokane lies west of Cedar Mountain Farm. All are within reasonable driving distance. Schweitzer and Silver Mountain run a lift during the summer to accommodate sight seers and mountain bikers.
Silverwood Theme Park: Full of roller coasters and water fun. Just three miles from the farm. There is even a spot high up on Cedar Mountain where you can watch the Silverwood fire works from a lofty perch. We have discount tickets. (If you go visit Silverwood’s site, please remember to come back to ours and make your reservation!)
Water activities: We’re surrounded by lakes, rivers, and streams. Swim, boat, ski, play in the sand or fish.
State Parks: Several within easy driving distance. Round Lake, Farragut, Heyburn.
Golf: North Idaho has many spectacular golf courses: Idaho’s #1 Coeur d’ Alene Resort Golf Course with the famous floating green, Idaho’s #5 Avondale, Twin lakes, Hidden Lakes, Highlands, Prairie Falls, and many more.
Hiking, biking, horseback riding and lessons: We’ll send you to nearby stables for horseback activities.
Shopping: Outlet malls, antique stores, malls, thrift stores-something for everyone.
History: Idaho history is replete with mountain men, native Americans, missionaries, pioneers, and the journeys of Lewis and Clark. |
