| Originally the Inn was home to Maui's first doctor for the sugar mill and pineapple cannery both located in Haiku. We sit on the entrance to the little town of Haiku. Due to its cooler climate, Haiku was the first area of Maui to develop and plant sugar cane in the mid 1800s and pineapple fields at the turn of the 1900s. We are fortunate that progress of the large resorts never arrived here, and our Hawaiian rural atmosphere still exists like no other place in Hawaii. We are close to everything but miles away in atmosphere. The town of Haiku has a slogan; " We Love Haiku", because of our aloha spirit, our convenient and friendly merchants, the old cannery still in use as our hub of town, and the green and peaceful atmosphere. |

|
| Maui county regulations do not allow bed and breakfasts to serve warm cooked meals, however, we do serve a very heavy continental breakfast daily with fresh fruit grown on property or locally, fresh baked pastries, healthy cereals, yogurt, Maui coffee, and teas & juice.
