Our historic, newly renovated antebellum home is located in the Lower Garden District on Magazine Street. The Terrell House is 4 blocks from the Morial Convention Center, 3 blocks from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and only 1 block from lovely Coliseum Square with its centuries old Live Oaks. It is the perfect location to make the most of you stay in our wonderful, historically rich city.
The French Quarter is easily accessible from the Terrell House as is fabulous dining, avant-garde boutiques, antique shops, art galleries, and pubs found on Magazine Street.
As guests at the Terrell House, you will experience a blend of history, luxury, charm, and Southern hospitality.
The Terrell House has been described by guests as "an oasis in the heart of historic New Orleans - achieving a balance between elegance and comfort".
Built in 1857 for Richard Terrell, a wealthy cotton broker originally from Natchez, Mississippi, the Terrell House is a grand three story Italianate stucco-over-brick mansion. The main house features porches, galleries, and balconies framed in ornate cast iron and a brick New Orleans courtyard complete with several fountains and lush vegetation.
Directions:
1. Follow sign to I-10 East New Orleans and then to I-10 New Orleans Business District.
2.As you approach downtown and the Superdome, follow signs to 90 Business West
3. Take Tchoupitoulas St. Exit (just after the St. Charles Exit and the last exit before going over the bridge).
4. Go through 1 signal light - at 2nd signal light turn RIGHT onto Tchoupitoulas St.
5. Go through 1 signal light and take a RIGHT on Euterpe St. at the Saulet Apartments.
6. Go 3 blocks on Euterpe St. to Magazine St. Cross Magazine St.
7. The Terrell House will be on your LEFT at the corner of Euterpe and Magazine.
8. Park on Euterpe.
9. You are now at TERRELL HOUSE. |

Room Rates from $135.00 - $250.00 Special Events Rates: (Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, etc.) range from $150.00-$350.00 *A two-night minimum is required on weekends. Minimum stay subject to change for special events.

Check-in time is arranged on individual needs.
NON-SMOKING B&B. Smoking is allowed in the courtyard only.
Pets: Small dogs may be allowed if prior arrangements have been made.
Children: Children over the age of 12 are welcomed.
PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS:
Guests must pre-pay one night to guarantee their reservations with the balance due upon arrival. Charges are fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 10 days prior to stay. No refunds will be made for late arrivals or early departures.
SPECIAL EVENT CANCELLATIONS:
Guests must pay in full 60 days prior to special event dates. Charges are fully refundable, minus one night, if reservation is cancelled 60 days prior to beginning of stay, provided the room is subsequently filled. If the room goes unreserved, the entire amount of stay will be forfeited. A "rain check", valid for one year, will be issued in the event of forfeiture.

All rooms have private baths, cable television, wireless internet, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, makeup mirrors, robes, coffee makers, bottled water, and soft drinks. All linens are high thread count cotton with hand pressed pillow cases.
The rooms in the carriage house overlook or open onto the courtyard. They are adjacent to but separate from the main house. All are furnished with cypress furniture made by a local cabinet maker and have original art work by a local artist. Each room has a private bath with a shower in the tub, individual central heat and A/C, and ceiling fans. |
